Policing and non-traditional roles for women – BPW Sept Dinner Meeting
August 2011
Does society still hold on to views of ‘traditional’ work roles for women? Find out what WA Police are doing to improve gender equality and to actively encourage women into leadership roles in the service.
Is the WA Police service one of those ‘last bastions’ of a male-dominated workforce? Well, you may (or may not) be surprised to discover that the service has taken great strides toward being a more gender-balanced workplace. Our guest speaker is a highly-awarded, senior female police officer who will give us an insight into the journey, its impact on the service’s culture and the ways the service is fostering women in key leadership roles.
When: Tuesday, 13th September 2011, 7:00pm
Where: The Woodvale Reception Centre @ The Woodvale Tavern, 143 Trappers Drive Woodvale
