JBA “walking” meeting to….Edith Cowan’s cottage!

I’d always thought it would be good to have a business meeting while walking. Thank you to Joshua Aston, fellow Joondalup Business Association Board Member and Associate Dean (Law) ECU School of Business and Law, who did just that – taking Eby Mathew (another JBA Board Member) and myself for a campus tour while discussing JBA business! How cool that we ended up in front of Edith Cowan’s cottage which had been relocated from 71 Malcolm Street to ECU Joondalup and is now used by the Peter Cowan Writers’ Centre – a non-profit organisation which strives to be supportive of new writers.💜🧡

Did you know Edith Cowan, OBE JP was the first woman member of an Australian Parliament, elected to the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia as a member for West Perth 1921-1924. And she achieved so much more! 🙏🏻
