Social Media – First Tuesday Breakfast Forum
July 2011
How is your business engaging target markets, measuring ROI and managing copyright & legalities?
Celebrating one year of meetings, the July meeting of the First Tuesday Breakfast Forum, run by Susie Vergers of Change Creators, returned to the subject they covered in the first event “Social Media: How is your business engaging target markets, measuring ROI and managing copyright & legalities?”
Liz Flatters attended this distinctive monthly networking opportunity where local business women share their experiences and perspectives on a particular topic. There are no specific experts present and places are limited to 15 to enable a valuable discussion where everyone gets a fair hearing.
Susie Vergers facilitated the meeting to ensure the discussion was fun and enriching, and the networking supportive and meaningful. Attendees discussed social media as a marketing tool for business and how they are engaging, or not engaging with it. They then moved on to talk about whether they are approaching social media strategically –particularly the big 4 (Linked In, Facebook business pages, Twitter & You Tube) and what they are doing to ensure their efforts reach their target markets. Did this result in their customers and potential customers engaging back with them (or not)? And were they facing up to the big questions of Return on Investment and legalities?
